I bought a 95 Yamaha Wave Venture 700 a few days ago and when i put it in the water yesterday i noticed it was bogging down on takeoff, if you feathered the throttle it would go ok, but if you hammered it it would bogg. Also when i would get on it from a slow speed it would act as if it was hitting a rev limiter at first, but not accelerate, then it would catch and take off. It seemed to be lagging pretty good on the top end also, same rev limmiter feeling. Then when i pulled it out of the water i took the drain plugs out and a LOT of water came out...i mean gallons ( probly 2 or 3 ) . The guy i was riding with said maybe something with the pump? What do you guys think? By the way, it runs like a dream out of water.

Dude...

SeaDooForum.com

and you are posting in the

"Sea-Doo PWC" section.

Post it in off topic. Mechanically, they are totally different.

You're in luck! I'm a PWC specialist (not just Sea-Doo). It sounds like you have 2 different problems. Remove your impeller and have it repaired. As for the water in the hull, put it in the water, start it up and look for a leak with the seat off.
