help gtx not running properly

can anyone help i have a 1998 seadoo gtx ltd , it starts easy but when you go it wont pick up speed i would say it is doing about 20mph , if you keep going after a while it will start going full speed , but as soon as you slow down and the go again it wont pick up again , can anyone help. cheers pj

Is the engine revving up and you don't pick up speed or does the engine just not rev up??

Not really sure. Does it have the old grey fuel lines?? If so may need to replace the fuel lines and clean carb filters and fuel selector valve. The old grey fuel lines breakdown internally and plug the carb filters. One of the pro's may step in and have other ideas, I am just a hobbiest.

:agree:, no pro but,..remove airbox, see if throttle cables' pull'n butterflies open. Cable could be shot.
