I just bought a nice used 1997 Gsx in great condition but it had mice take up residence. It's been stored for about two years and it smells terrible. I've cleaned it with pressure washer, bleach, orange degreaser and even tried an enzyme based cleaner. It's still smells like a skunk died in it. Any ideas and what I can do. The enzyme cleaner works for a day or so but the smell keeps coming back. Any tips?

I know if you put a bowl of Scope in a car it absorbs smoke odor. Probably would work for mice smell as well.

Find the mice that are still in there stinking it up :) I think vinegar is the way to go tho like said above

I'd go with distilled white vinegar, a baking soda paste with water, or some kind of oxy-based cleaner ie oxy-clean. Any one of those will deodorize at a chemical level.

I'll give it another shot tonight. The inside looks so clean but smells so nasty.

Baking soda and lemon juice will shift it. Rinse residue out with soapy water.

I like this idea too.

Some more ideas:

Holding tank deodorizer, this is some powerful stuff if ya know what I mean West Marine explains how they work:

A household fan with the seat off and compartments open might help to air out the permeated interior.

I'm not sure how OP feels about moth balls but they might overpower the foul odors. Personally I don't like the smell of moth balls, reminds me of Ben-Gay............ puke! :(

And finally, charcoal helps control musty smells.

Good luck man, let us know what works! :)

Well tried it all, and all I can say is wow, field mouse pee is nasty! Not one thing worked 100%, best was an enzyme based cleaner. Applied it five times now, pressure washed the hull, etc... Getting better but still smells, maybe by the end of season.
