Hi,

The choke cable on my wife's '95 SPi has broken (the handle pulled out all the way). I have purchased a replacement but am not sure what steps to take to replace the broken one. Does the carb have to be removed? It is the 587 engine I believe. Any information/photos would be greatly appreciated!

You don't need to take the carb off but do probably need to take air intake off to access the side of carb. It is a little tricky connection there. The choke lever is attached to the PTO (front) carb on the side. Follow the existing cable to see how it attaches on both ends. Access the handle end from the front compartment.
See http://partsfinder.onlinemicrofiche...&make=seadoopwc&a=306&b=10&c=0&d=-FUEL-SYSTEM for a picture.
The choke plate holds the handle end onto the body.
