help Boarding Step for a GTR 215

I am new to the site, hoping some more experienced seadooers can help me. I'm looking at a Gtr 215 and a GTI SE 155, I like the power of GTR but would like a reboarding step. The dealer by me told me I could not add it unless it was a model that came with it... Is this true?

I think they can be retrofitted.
