My boat has lost power and I do not understand why. The impeller and sleeve have been replaced, the spark plugs have been replaced, all cylinders are firing, and I have put all new gas and sea foam in the boat.

May full throttle the boat only runs 30 mph @ 5300 rpm.

Pictures of the boat, the throttle, and the boat running at full speed are attached.

Thank you in advance

If your sure that the problem is not in the pump, which it probably is, you are going to need to hook up a scanner to read any fault codes.

Couple of questions:

1.. when did this start? What was normal full throttle speed for you?
2.. is it supercharged?
3.. have you checked the throttle linkage at the engine. Put it to full throttle and make sure at the throttle body it is actually opening the throttle all the way.
4.. does it idle and accelerate normal until that speed?
5.. have you crawled under it to look into the pump to make sure there is nothing there?

If you are mechanical at all, we can probably ask you to check a few more things. If you are not, you might be best to bring it to a dealer as the software will tell alot there as mentioned.

I have the Candoo for mine as it works great to read codes and provide sensor and other details. Again, if you are not able to work on most of it yourself, it might not have alot of value.

It started about a month ago. Normal throttle was about 58 at 7500/8000rpm.

i do not believe that it is supercharged. I have attached some photos of the engine.

yes, the throttle linkage is completely opening the throttle all the way.

yes, The boat does idle normally it does not playing out as fast as it used to. It’s just not reaching its power like before.

when referring to the pump are you talking about the fuel pump or the impeller?

I am very handy and have always fixed my own issues so any information at all is helpful and greatly appreciated.

Jet pump. Most problems with the boat not reaching speed but RPM’s going above idle comes from the jet pump being out of spec.

For starters,

Crawl under the boat when in the trailer if you can and take some pics of up under the grate in the rear looking back.

Post them here.
