Hey guys I have a 97 seadoo challenger single 787, and the problem I'm having is that the engine is filling with fuel while it sits, so bad that it hydro locks. I have cleaned the carbs and have changed the needle and seats. What else could be causing this problem? maybe I have a fuel line mixed up ? Thanx

It's probably not fuel. I bet you will find it's mostly oil.

Put a clean towel over the sparkplug holes, and crank. Fuel will be mostly clear... oil will be brown. (assuming you use XPS)

If that's the case... your center seals or RV seal has gone bad. If it's the RV seal, it can be replaced. If it's the center seals... then it's time for a new engine.

I can't see how that's possible. Unless your vent is plugged and the tank is pressurizing from heat and forcing gas through?

I checked the vent already, maybe the fuel pump diaphragm is ripped and letting fuel in the engine threw the pulse line?

You should be able to isolate out where it is coming from. Pinch close the various feed lines. Such as the line going to a carb, see if it stops. Then another line such as the pulse line, see if it stops... Ect ect..

Or, go the other way, pinch close them all and open one at a time.

Bingo, I think this is the problem, if it's not your vent maybe a vent line, or the vent outlet from the fuel baffle, try loosening the gas cap and see if it still floods.

You are exacally right, I blew out all the vent lines to the baffle, and it fix the problem... Thanks for all your help
