i had problem starting 1 engine.started after 2-3 attempt than ran ok.
now today it stopped several times.....
now when i try to start it....theres like a metal sound!!!! not like the other engine....
i can still start it....but it sound weird...and the rpm wont go over 3000rpm even at full blast......lack of power!!!

plz help!!

:ack:first thing i would do is a compression test should be around 150lbs if its lower on one or both then i would take the head off and take a look in the cylinders and also look in your pump and make sure nothing is lodged in it.

GOOD LUCK!!!!

thanks...i got it serviced and it was one of the cylinder that seized in its base.....but was still movin which created the metal sound i was wonderin about.now he will replace the cylinder and oversized it...and theres also a whole in the magneto.....what created that ?? no clue?? he told me everything was new on the engine...so maybe the last mechanic built it and did something wrong...ah well the engine will b ok...but what caused the cylinder to seized? he has no clue....hopefully the problem will not come back

any idea?

jay....keep us posted, stud. Came across same symptom with buddy's ski, ended up, that the rod bearing between the journals blew up. Then debris went thru ports, damaged the top, sleeves, ended up, cheaper to drop new motor in....

new whole!!

so the cylinder was fixed...also change the oil pumb...and sealed a little whole that was on the top of the magneto.
this week end tried the boat...engine ran a-1!!
but take alook at that!!!!

what the /%/$%/%?/?% caused that???

a whole in the magneto?? is that what its called??

help me..NOW!!!lol

WOW...probably was cracked, then pipe vibration got best of it. Thing is, if that piece fell inside, eventually, will get caught up in magneto/stator assy and ground it out, pop'n fuse/s. Up to you, can silicone it up, and keep goin...
