I put my boat in the water today and it ran great for about 15 mins and then BOOM! Check enginle light/loud beep and boat went into limp mode. I shut it off and light went away but after another 10 mins it happened again. Worst part was I was on a test drive showing someone my boat that is for sale.
I noticed the oil was slightly overfilled and I saw some oil blowback in the engine bay. I did not change the oil after I winterized it so maybe some water mixed with the oil causing it to raise? It runs great until that light pops on.
Any ideas are greatly appreciated! The only see doo dealer around me is backup up until mid July.
