Here are the pics from my installation of my Hawkeye Depth Finder. I installed this into my 2004 Seadoo Sportster 4-Tec. The manual is easy to follow and if you follow it, you will have no issues. You will need a "wire snake" to fish the wire from the storage compartment (located behind the steering wheel) through the hull into the engine compartment. I used a Dremel to sand down the area where the transducer is glued in which made it an easy process. Others have posted their installation pictures with the same unit and since I found their info very helpful, I felt obligated to share my info and pictures as well. If anyone has any questions, I would be happy to help you out if I can.

I mounted mine in the same spot. I have found that unfortunately it isn't super accurate - it's off by about 1 ft (water is deeper than it states) which normally is fine. However, when I run shallow a lot & it reads "--" at 3 ft of water instead of reading down to 2.5 like it's supposed to. This is great for knowing if it's reading any depth other than "--": I can hammer the throttle w/ no fear of being too shallow, but I may end up experimenting with other locations.

Another fellow has posted his install pics. He mounted his on the opsite side under the just under the engine. I thought about that spot but it is a bit tight and I could not figure out how to be able to sand down the area properly. For the most part, it works for you?
