Hi there, I have been looking and reading all sorts of info from this site. I can say i have learned alot, and still going to need to get a manual I,m sure. how ever Can any one tell me what the pump is and were in the boat it is. I was wondering more of what this means most likely would be the neoprene seal between the pump and the shoe or the threw hull seal are sucking air I am in the prosses of doing a carb clean, and have orderd a new wear ring and plan on putting new oil in it and get my impelre re built. I probably dont realy have to do all this but rather do it now not in july or auguest as the boating season in ontario is not long. So I plan on putting a new gasget on the pump and threw all seal just dont know were they are or what they look like

Any advise is much liked. thanks

Andrew

This seems like moderator bait. lol  I am sure not many will get it. It is just part of getting a forum up and runing at the lowest cost available. It is smart but not that funny any ways. Just to help all out that may read this in need of info. If you are going to replace wear ring you will allso be replaceing the neoprene seal that seals the pump to the shoe. the pump is at the very back of the boat. It is normaly held on by 4 bolts to the shoe. It is very important to have a manual when working on a seadoo. If you take your time you should be able to figure out how to do what ever job you are trying to do. The threw hull seal on your boat may be ceramic. It keeps the water from entering the hull where the drive shaft comes threw from the engine to the impeller. it should be a easy fix. again read manual. as for runing in salt water you will need to flush the engine of the salt water. this can be done on a water hose again read the manual carefully as this is very important when doing on the hose. You could take it to a fresh water lake or river and run it this should flush engine good. I am sure that others will add to this so check back. Good luck Robin
