Hatch rubber bumper replacement options

Several of the rubber bumpers under the hatches of our 210 are either missing or severely damaged (around 10 of them). The factory ones are roughly $7 ea., but once you add shipping, they become a bit unreasonable.

I've been to my local Ace and other hardware stores and have yet to find an alternative.

Anyone have any suggestions for replacements?

I saw that post when you added it. Which bumpers were they? Do you happen to have a pic of the packaging? Did you get them from the specialty parts bins or were they in plumbing?? Any help trying to narrow down where to get them would be great.

I would guess I got them from the bins. I just bought a few different bumpers that I thought would work.

The bumpers I used had an insert sticking out the bottom. You we supposed to stick the insert into the hole in the boat. I did not think they would stay in place so I cut them off and drilled a hole through them for a long pop rivet. I also had to drill a larger hole in the boat. Be careful that you do not tear your gel coat while drilling.

I had replaced the original clear bumpers with new once from SeaDoo. They did not last one season. When we are at anchor the rope often rubs over the bumper and it easily wore away the original clear bumpers. Since replacing the bumpers I don't think I have allowed the anchor rope to rub over them, so they are holding up great!

I've considered replacing the ones in the back as they are getting pretty squashed. None of them has disappeared completely yet so it is not a priority.
