K kmellow New Member Jun 10, 2008 #1 i have a 98 seadoo when i hit the starter it whirrrrs,like its spinning but not engageing. when i pull the seat i clamp a vicegrip in the prop shaft and wiggle it back and forth and then hit the starter and it starts and runs great. anybody heard of this before? thanks

T timmyboy76 New Member Jun 10, 2008 #2 you mess with the shaft everytime it misses?, if so, don't, then hit start button again. maybe bendix fail'n/stick'n?
