I have a 2007 150 Speedster which I enjoy, however, the shift lever is very hard to move. Makes it difficult to control during docking. Any feedback. I have removed the tension adjustment and it made no difference.
Lube the cable - from the shifter end at the rear of the boat - remove the fittings and put a piece of hose long enough to slide over it to the base - zip tie or clamp it - add your favorite lube to the tube and use compressed air to gently blow it thru the cable while someone operates the shifter lever - Also - make sure the bucket move freely up and down while disconnected.,
They make accordion rubber cable protectors to help seal out water and contaminates from entering. found mine on ebay.
