hey everyone

my ski blew up last season and only jus got cash to fix it. thing is we only have one seadoo store wher i live and he is always flat out so i was gonna get my mate to fix it. hes a qualified mechanic and knows his way round most motors.

i was just wondering if there was any things to look out for doing this.

also im buying the rebuild kit from the supplier for 950 and was wondering what other costs will be for machine work and other supplies.

any help appreciated,

greg

I know this sounds a bit early, but get the break in part right. Extra oil in fuel, and run her easy!

It is a pity to loose a motor, due to early hard runs. It happens.

Hey Grog. Welcome to the forum. Make sure you figure out why the engine blew in the first place. Also, are you rebuilding the topend or the whole thing?

Tasmania?........

Greg, being from Tasmania, it'd be hard to try and help you out with costs of material and parts. There are some suppliers here in the states that ship international. Our parts link at the top of the page is an international distributer.

Like the others above have said, make sure you know the root cause as to why your engine blew. Also, if your going to bore over, only bore to the recommended size that Seadoo suggests in their shop manuals. I'm sure you'll have no problem finding replacement pistons where you are. Let us know if your having problems finding parts.
