Hi,
I'm working on a 1999 GTX LTD that feels kinda sluggish in the mid range. Carbs have been done(twice). Compression good. Timing good. Ski feels like the Rave is coming on too soon. I've noticed that there is a sensor built into the throttle cable. The ski is carbureted. The wiring diagram says it's a thottle position sensor. I can't find anything else about it in the manual.
Anybody know the purpose of this sensor? Does it feed the MPEM info so it can adjust ignition timing or control RAVE application?

Thanks, Dennis

Dennis, Im not sure myself, but I'll do my best to find an answer for you with my resources, and get back to you.

I found the answer to my question. The manual says the throttle position sensor in the throttle cable tells the MPEM when the throttle is at 80% so it can adjust the ignition timing.
