I have a 2014 seadoo gtx, took it out a few weekends ago and it was stuck in eco mode and was giving me a switch panel error, but other than that it road fine. On Sunday I started to look into the problems, and ordered a new switch panel thinking that will fix it, then took it out the following weekend. Was still stuck in eco. So I pulled it off the water and order the speed control override module thinking it would keep the ski In sport that failed. So I had a buddy with an identical ski come over so we can swap parts and try to figure out the problem, and we swapped everything you can think of and it still has the same problem even tried putting my parts on his good ski to confirm the part was good. Any suggestions?

Are you using the normal key and see the sport opting pop up?
Did you check all the connections and fuses for corrosion?
Check the fuse box. Could be something loose or a dirty connection.

Yes, I am using the normal key the dash even says normal key when I plug it in. Checked all the fuses and wiring harness.

I have the same ski and mine is running rough not goin past 5500 rpms. I've tried everything so far except for the tps sensor in the throttle that i have on order. I can access the sport mode but it won't take off. feels like it is stuck in eco mode... keep us posted and Ill do the same if I get anywhere.

Sounds like you have a miss fire if its running rough,(spark plugs?) but mine runs fine it just won’t come out of eco like if I put in in sport, it just jumps back to eco. If I put it in sport and disconnect the switch panel it will stay in sport. Good luck with your ski tho.

Thanks, I tried plugs, swapped coils. I might have to check the harness for any breaks or frays. Good luck and let me know what happens

Dirty clogged injectors?
Not too hard of a job to clean them, there are even some videos going around on how to do it , Thats what i would try next good luck

The ECM sounds like it’s brain farting on the eco sport mode issue. Did you try disconnecting the battery to try to reset it and did you swap ECMs with your buddies ski.

I already tried the cleaning. Used the 9 volt battery trick and worked great.. did it twice. Nothing happened

Yea I even had a buddy with a candoo pro hook it up and see if it’s throwing a code and it was fine now the ibr stoped working so idk what’s going on

Can you override the ibr with the candoo pro? Try that so you know it's not the motor. And my problem was the injector. Even though I cleaned them, one of them wasn't spraying enough. I ordered one and I'm back to normal. If it goes in sport mode then you should be focusing on fuel. Fuel filter in the tank can do it also. Order a filter and try your buddy's injectors. As for your IBR it could be a dirty fuse. Or your voltage on the battery is weak. The IBR I believe will throw a code, if there was a bigger problem. I think you're chasing an easy fix. You'll just have to narrow it down without spending alot of $.. good luck.
It's a good feeling when you end up figuring out what it is. Especially knowing your own ski.

So I know a lot of posts go un answered but I found the problem 2 days ago wanted to make sure everything was good before I tell some of you with similar problems. After my Ibr stopped working I ordered a new OEM one for the Sea-Doo swapped in there and change the gauge cluster as well just because mine was shot took it to certified seadoo dealer and then reprogram it all together took it out on the water and road around for 8 1/2 hours didn’t skip a beat hope this helps
