Hi,
I am planning to buy a 2006 GTX limited with 130hr. Can someone let me know what major repairs are comming up within the next few hrs?
- supercharger overhaul?
- etc?

Thanks

I am no expert, so I will let others comment, but I think it would be safe to say you shouldn't have so overhaul your s/c on such a young machine..? 130hrs, but its only 2.5 years old.

seadoo recommends rebuilding the supercharger every 100hrs. Your also going to want to make sure the ceramic washers in the supercharger have been changed to the metal ones.

Thanks guys for the info.
I appreciate the info on the washers, because i know someone who his engine is ruined because the washers broke down and jammed the oil pump. By the way he only had 110hrs.

P.S how expensive to - have supercharger rebuilt?
- do it yourself?

thanks

Also Ill give to a tip, if you take it to a dealer befor you buy it and get them to hook up the b.u.d.s system up to it you can see the maintinace history like weather or not the 10hr service was done on it and also how the boat was drivin, Its shows you a bar graph with diffrent rpm ranges from 0-redline and a % for each range so mine i know it only hit 7000rpm for .06% of the total hrs on the boat witch was 70. um hope that makes sence. LMAO i think that % has changed a little since ive had the boat...

what the buds system can do all summed-up!!! rpm profiles, throttle position, history, faults, diagnostics and can go thru auto-test of every sensor and feature on the ski/boat... i gotta get me one some how???? I also see your from Montreal, If your buying it during the winter i really sugest taking it to the dealer have them start it up put it on the buds and then rewinterize it also have a good look in the intake grate and the pump and make sure the wear ring and impeller are in good shape. I did all this last january when i bought my boat

B.u.d.s..........

B.U.D.S......is the acronym for Bombardier Utility and Diagnostic Software. This system is basically the communication software for the highly advanced 4-TEC engines which use up to 14 sensors to control the operation of your motor. It is installed in a computer, normally a laptop and connects to your ski via a USB port or other parallel peripheral.

This system is so advanced that most "shade tree" mechanics are very limited on what we can do with these engines. The older 2 strokes are basically mechanical. The 4-TEC's are pretty much a "fly by wire" kind of engine.

Everyone else has covered your questions, I just wanted to define B.U.D.S. since SporsterJoel brought it up..........
