Ok, I am dumb when it comes to watercraft. Ive rode motorcross most of my life and know a bike from front to back but these pwc's are more complicated. Last summer when I was putting my GTX Di up for the last time, I was getting very low on gas and was riding open throttle. I felt a slight hesitation so I just figured it was cutting out due to low fuel so i spun it around put it on reserve and headed back towards dock. Well when I opened it back up again it sounded like it revved (sp) fine but wasnt as fast as normal. What did I brake? Thanks for all help, Nate

You didn't break anything. Do you have a problem message on your Dash? If so, you'll need to get it buds tested at seadoo. Let's try to avoid that, though. Dealerships(the ones that I have contacted) are useless when it comes to di's. Your ski needs a lot of fuel pressure(around 120) to function correctly. When your fuel pump sucked air, It probably knocked the psi down to about 115... causing it to run funny. Gas it up... It will probably fix it. If not, you first need to do the basics. Check plugs... Check compression... Then check fuel pressure( 125 psi , I think)... Then check air pressure from your air compressor(90, I think)... Then check the raves. I can get exact numbers for you if need be. IF it is messed up(I don't think it is), My guess would be fuel pressure. Fuel pressure- pump failure is not one of the things that will usually trip any kind of code in the mpem. Those Di's are infamous for eating fuel pumps for lunch. If you need any specs or info about how to build the pressure testers, get back to me. I can also assist you with rebuilding your fuel pump. That will save you a lot of money.

Oh shoot. I just saw that you said it revved fine???? Did you notice the tach to verify that? If it's revving fine and just not going fast enough, The wear ring and impeller are the things to check and replace. Sbt offers remanufactured impellers for very cheap... and wear ring kits.

Is that something I might be capable of fixing my self?

Are you sure it's a Di?
The reason I ask is that you mentioned that you put it on reserve. The Di Sea-Doo's do not have a reserve.

It is for sure a Di, I couldn't remember if I put it on reserve or not. It was flashing low fuel so I was really close to my dock..

Earlier that day it was also flashing 12v and beeping. It would take off normal and fall around 35 or so mph. I suppose this is probably my regulator/rectifer...

Yup. Change your rectifier. Since it's in the bow of your boat, it's simple to change. Go to a reputable powersports shop to have them change the wear ring if it looks suspect. But, I bet that it wasn't revving to it's full potential. x2 on the fuel selector. I have a 2003 and don't have one. It seems like Seadoo would engineer the di's not to have one because of the high fuel pressure. My friend has a couple of 2002's at his shop, though. I'll look to see. Change that rectifier yourself though.
