Hi

My first GTX which was standing in a "barn" for over 5 years;)

The time has come to check what is inside and verify what the water has done to it over the years.
I am happy to hear factual hints in the process of restoring Seadoo to its perfect condition :)

If that gouge in the rotary valve surface is deep those engine casings need to be replaced.

I have this identical ski, in similar condition to yours before your restoration. I would love to do a similar restoration, but this is my first PWC. Tried to fire it up today after storing it for 3 years. It fires up if I use stater fluid into the carbs, but then stalls. It is clear it is not getting any fuel to the carbs. Is there a fuel pump? Prime pump does not appear to be working either. Can you help get me started?

You never know about that groove though. you might get away with running the engine that way but since it is out of the ski and you are doint a really good resto.... I'd make it right. Good Luck !!
