We have a very cold summer and a week ago I launched a jet ski for the first time) But I didn’t manage to ride for a long time, because an error p2080 appeared and the ibr symbol lit up. Unfortunately, at that moment another person was driving and I cannot say whether they appeared at the same time or in turn. But for sure both errors appeared within no more than 10 minutes.
Then I looked inside the jet ski and saw that the temperature sensor simply melted and the metal part was in the pipe and the plastic part with the connector was falling. I replaced the temperature sensor and p2080 is gone. But after a few minutes of driving, an ibr error appears with codes c0042 and p1661. After restarting the engine, the system works normally again and moves in override mode.
I have two questions: is it possible to check ibr or it definitely needs to be changed. And could these two problems be related?
