GTX 185 Max RPM 7000 Top Speed 59MPH

I bought a 2006 gtx 185 a few months ago and it was finally warm enough for me to be able to take it out. the GTX 185 should get around 7600 max rpm and I am getting between 6900-7000. I weigh 220 pounds and with a full tank of gas I am getting 55mph max speed going against the current and 59mph going with the current. That is using GPS. The RPMS are low but the speed seems to be around normal for the SKI. This is what I have done to the ski so far
- New Solas 12/20 impeller and wear ring
- New carbon seal
- New spark plugs gapped at .028
- Changed the oil. The oil is within the marks on the dipstick. That is with the motor warm in the water.
- O.P.A.S delete
- The super charger was rebuilt by greenhulk 3 weeks ago.
- I just ordered a new set of ignition coils that I am waiting to arrive.

I have researched this alot and what I found when other people had this issue was the super charger, oil overfilled, something wrong with the jet pump, spark plugs or ignition coil. I have tried everything other than new ignition coils. I am out of ideas of what else it could be.

The ski runs very well, other than occasionally when I start it the RPMs will be low and it will stall. But it starts right back up. I also had it over heat on me today, which was very random. I had been running it for hours. The ski was running fine, I stopped to respond to a text message and I shut the ski off. When I put the DESS key back on the warning light was going off that the SKI was overheating. I waited ten minutes and it went back off, I started the SKI and drove it for another 2 hours without any issues.

Does anyone have any idea what would be causing this?

BRP engineers designed the open loop cooling system to use pump pressure to cool the exhaust. Pump pressure is created by pump RPM. Less RPM means less pressure, hence less cooling and at the same power output/normal wot speed , not enuf cooling at wot, eventual overheat. Your new solas impeller trailing pitch of 20 is the OEM pitch but who knows. There is a used OEM stock impeller on EBAY you might want to look at.

There is also three exhaust water aerators right before the muffler that could be partially clogged you could try cleaning but that will not effect your wot rpm.
