96 gti i put a new battery on it and it just clicked. took the starter off and attempted to put 12 volts to starter directly and it wouldn't do anything then i attempted to take apart and realized real quick i didn't want to do that so i put it back together and for the hell of it i put 12 volts to it again and it turned over did this several times. so then i bolted it back up and the machine started right up for the first time in a year. went to the lake run fantastic and when i got back to the dock to load it up i went to start it again a just click click. ANY IDEAS.......STARTER I GUESS. i pulled the seat and and while it was i was attempted to start it water was on contact of starter and was sizzling normal i know. I also did not see any water coming out the tube on the back of it or does it come out the exhaust port. ANY HELP WITH STARTING WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED THEN I WILL WORRY about making sure its sucking water.
