Guys,

About to purchase a 2007 GTI SE (155). I'd be a first time PWC-owner. The owner just wants to get it out of her garage, and is willing to part with it for $6400 (including trailer and cover). PWC has 28 hrs and looks good on the outside, but i have no idea what 'right looks like' mechanically. Owner claims they've only driven it one summer, fresh water only.

I was going to take the ski to a seadoo service shop to check, but I have no idea what they'd charge, etc.

Any tips on what I ought to consider before purchasing???

A local seadoo store here has one brand new model left on the showroom floor he is selling for $7,800 with trailor, warranty, etc.. And that is a good deal, so yours is a pretty good deal in my opinion.

do you know if a standard inspection by the service department will ensure that there's nothing wrong with the ski (i.e. compression, signs on wear on the prop)? Any idea what I should expect to pay for something like that?

Here in Florida, Seadoo Certified Service Shops charge $99.00 per hr. Call your local dealer and ask what the charge is.
