Where is best place to get new battery for 2008 GTI SE 130? Best to get sealed? I know they are expensive, but I want to get one that will last.

Thanks in advance.

There isn't one place that is MUCH better than another. Many have said that Walmart is not a good place. The general thought is, get a gel (AGM) battery. They seem to hold up better to the abuse that ski's and boats give batteries.

Thanks for the info. Can I get the AGM battery from Walmart? Academy Sports?

Looks like I put this thread in wrong location. Please move to 4stroke if you can

As I mentioned above, most do stay away from Walmart. I get mine from local auto parts stores. I will move the post to the 4-stroke section,,,

Do I just tell Auto Zone or O'Reilly folks that I need battery for Sea Doo GTI, or will I need to know more about the battery?

Strong chance they can simply look it up. Either take the old one with you or at least the dimensions and where the terminals are located.

Stay away from Walmart and auto zone. Search for local Battery shops. They will have good batteries, otherwise they would be out of business.

For my personal use on the off chance I can't find something here lying around the shop that still can kick one over, I won't buy batteries from Vato Zone anymore (Yeah I got a dud once, so LOL dunno why but I don't!) but I do still buy batteries from Wal-Mart.

For those skis with the teency-weeny-dinky batteries, I think you can't go wrong with the correct YUASA battery your ski came with from the factory.

A lot of guys claim they like their glass mat AGM type batteries, I'm not convinced they can outlast an undamaged wet type lead acid though. Operative word is undamaged.

Personally, I've had as many dud batteries from about everywhere I've come to the conclusion it doesn't matter where they come from as long as they've been handled properly. The battery guy that delivers new ones to the marina here freekin' tosses those things like luggage and I'm not impressed.
