Ongoing saga with 1997 GSI that won't start. Believe it may have been submerged(?). Just bought and it is my off-season challenge now. After having MPEC tested and a new lanyard key programmed, the darn thing started right up in my garage but nothing at the lake. Found (after overlooked) the MPEC fuse blown. Replaced it and tried to start it. It beeped and then cranked a bit sluggishly and then blew the fuse again. Not knowing any baseline on this thing, I pulled the plugs and strayed some fogging lube in the cylinders, replaced the fuse (again) and spin it over briefly before it blew the fuse again(?). Tried to replace fuse and do the five red button diagnostics test but it didn't do anything but blow the fuse (again). Out of fuses for today. Not sure where to go next.

idk if this helps but i caught a girl doin a youtube video said same issue .. she found it to be the stator was bad and blowing fuse.

Found the youtube. Her issue were the two 15 amp power fuses blowing, one in the coil box and the other the lower fuse on the MPEC. Those two are not blowing on my Seadoo. It is the 5 amp MPEC fuse (second from bottom). I would like to find that wire terminal resistance chart she had, though. Thanks

I believe I have found my issue. The trim module was bad and the red and black power wiring to it was shorted internally. Thanks sincerely
