I just completed the rebuild on a 2000 GTX (947 engine), carbureted. My first ever (even though I'm a bit of a hobby-level gear head). Finally got it restarted, and it runs pretty good, but two things:
1) I'm getting a "Low Oil" light / warning even though the reservoir is full
2) Concerned that I might not be pumping oil, I pulled the Rave valves only to find a light great, emulsion-type oily film on both the rave valves. It looks almost like water and oil mixed, although it's not foamy.
Any ideas? How can I assure that the engine is pumping oil appropriately?
What should the compressions be on this engine after a rebuild (bored 0.5mm over) has new pistons, rings, crank, etc.
Thanks.
