Hi All, I just was given a 1999 Speedster SK. It's it pretty good shape overall. Other that some cosmetic stuff and the seats are in bad shape.
After a installing a new battery, 2 new trailer tires, and lighting she's good to go. I tried starting her up but 1 engine wont turn over and the weed less system cable has been snapped. I believe the speed sensor cable is snapped also so I took it over to a local dealer to have in checked out since it hasn't been run in 2 years. All said and done impellers, wear rings and a starter solenoid needed to be fixed. After doing all that with a bi-mini top which it didn't have, all cost me around 2800.
I also purchased a new fitted cover and a complete hydro turf kit but haven't installed it yet.
Questions...Do I need to remove the old adhesive first ?
If so, What works the best ?
And this speed sensor. Not sure how about fixing that ...Any thoughts there ?
This weed less system. I was told It really doesn't work as intended. Is It worth looking into ? The assembly doesn't look to be adjusted correctly of just doesn't work right
