Hi I have a 2005 Challenger 180 with the Supercharged Rotax engine it is fantastic only bought it a month ago with 80 hours on it.
It runs great for about 20 mins then long beeping noise will then restart but will only run at low revs without the alarm going off again
Does anyone have any ideas?

The long beep is indicative of throwing a code in the ECM and then with the limited power it’s in limp mode. Are you getting a check engine light? You need someone with a Candoo (or a BRP dealer) to get the stored or historical codes. Chances are it’s a reasonably cheap sensor but you can’t just start throwing parts at it without knowing where to start.

I had this similar issue with my boat and ended up buying a Candoo. The $400 paid for itself the first time I used it as the dealer is 120 miles away and would have charged me at least $250. The sensor was $13

The exhaust temp and oil sensors seem to be the common ones.

Thanks for the Tip, I am thinking about getting a CanDoo myself but they are pretty pricy and hard to get hold of for a reasonable price in the UK

Corby, I think I spoke to you about this. I will send you one for free shipping. So $399.99 USD. Let me know (y)

Hi got the CanDoo it showed the exhaust sensor was broken so we replaced it. We ran the CanDoo monitoring the boat on the water all in the green but still packing in after 20 minutes but no fault logged could this be an issue with the CanDoo or are there things it doesn’t register? Thanks for your help

Almost sounds like the fuel tank is not getting air? there is a vent hose with a kind of check valve that maybe stuck, try running it without the fuel cap fully tight and see what happens.

OK after weeks of replacing sensors and hooking it up to the Can Doo, which said all was fine it was the small oil pressure switch replaced it with a lot of help and it works like a dream. Can't believe something so small can be such an issue
