What is the deal with the gray fuel lines? mine has gray fuel lines should i be worried? i keep reading about people changing there lines to black lines is there something wrong with the gray ones?
How mechanically inclined are you? You can just pull the one side of the carbs off and check the fuel filters to see how they are. Some grey lines get really bad, some I have seen not so bad. I would change them for-sure tho, regardless of their condition. Its not expensive to do yourself.
I am pretty mechanically inclined, just not very knowledgeable in regards to knowing how carbs work. If I can take it apart, I can usually put it back together. I just worry about adjustments, Pop-off?, gaskets leaking, etc.
It's not a very hard job. Simple hand tools. The fuel filter inside our carb was almost COMPLETELY gummed up. Ski ran like crap. Put in a new one (along with new fuel lines) and it runs like it's suppose to.
Id go ahead and check the filters. Not to hard of a job as said. And the O-rings should be fine. Take off the ends that dont have the diaphragm. (rectangle ends) Not the round ends. I you can understand what I mean.. Once you get in there you can see if they need to be rebuilt or not.
