Hello to everyone ...
Ok, so Saturday afternoon we are tubbing with a group of friends and here I go and swallow the rope, so we get towed back and next morning before I wake up my friend had already fixed the problem, we checked for leaks and found none and we put the sea doo back in the water and it feels fine ... should I be worried of anything ....
I turned the engine of the second I saw the rope going in ........

You did good by shutting it down before the tow line could do any damage. If you don't get any vibration or cavitation from the jet pump, it should be ok. Let us know if anything changes, mean time go have some fun on it...and watch out for the tow line.:)

vibration or cavitation from the jet pump

Thank you for the reply, how do I check for this problems ...... I crank it up and I think it's running normal, I rode it for about 1 hour after we pulled the rope out of it & it feels normal ..... then again this is my first PWC and I think it vibrates some ...... not a smoth idle like a vihicle or so ....
I really hope no damage was done ...
Thank you all ....

Question

If I was to look from the bottom water intake or the rear jet, will I be able to see any problems if any ?????

From look'n underneath, might see damaged wear ring..from look'n thru steering nozzle, see damaged/bent blade/s, chunks out of wear ring..

they vibrate they all vibrate!!!!!! i have done the same with mine well actually my friend did it to mine but it sucked it in and ats totally fine. just ride and have funn. but if you feel something thats way outta the ordinary and you will know it trust me!!!!

Unless there is obvious wear ring or impeller damage, you are most likely fine. The good thing is you knew you sucked up a rope and stopped right away. More damage would have taken place if you kept trying to fire the engine after the stall and racked it even harder.

Vibration - pfft...these are like the Harleys of the water. Vibration comes with the territory.

Thank you Tim ...
Will I be a ble to see it from the surface or is there something I need to remove ??? Any pics of what it looks like ...

Vibration?

You shut down the motor when you knew you got the rope (which we've all done at some point) but with you now talking about vibration, I'm wondering about the shaft. Was there any vibs before the rope?

I doubt that you have wearing ring issues, only because the impeller would cut a few strands without any adverse affect on it, but wondering just how much rope you actually caught and at what speed? You can warp your shaft in this kind of problem, but you'd had to be going pretty fast.

Pump? If you'd like to pull the pump housing anyway, it will be a good learning experience and allow you to inspect the impeller. Maximum clearance on the wearing ring is .040" at the widest part of the blade.

Have on hand some Bombardier synthetic oil because this will also be a perfect time to do an oil change on your pump bearings. Make sure to inspect the oil for signs of water infusion.
