Going Out Now To Pull Head Of Off 717 Engine

Just Bought A 1995 Xp On Ebay , But It Runs Only 25 To 30 Minutes Before Getting Hot And Shuting Down So I Did A Compression Test Only 30 Pounds On The Rear Cylinder Went To The Dealer Got 2 O Rings And Now ? What Can I Expect To See When I Take The Head Off ? Will It Still Run If I Put It Back Together And Torque The Head? What Is The Best And Worst Case Sinaireo. Please Help!!!!!!!

30lbs....uncle, think you need to tear the jugs off, and rebuild it. More than likely, the rings collapse, got hot/detonation...etc, and go from there...:cheers:

what you are gonna see is the ugliest piston you ever saw. the chunks that burned off also ate the inside of the cyl head. cylinder walls may still be ok.
