I posted instead of a pm thinking others might be interested....

Replace Steering cable
- looking at replacing mine, what was the problem with yours?? Ours is really 'jerky' out of the water but smooths out in the water.

Run deck drain to bilge
- curious on this, what deck drains did you run? Sounds like a good idea get the water where it needs to be rather than it run all through the boat.

Replace bow lights/anchor light???
- where is the anchor light located? Also are there bulbs in the bow lights or did you have to replace the entire fixture to get an led setup.

Install spring to hold glove compartment lid open
- this I am really curious on, what did you add this is a must do!!!!

Mine was stiffer than I thought it should be - and I was right. Just got back from the lake. Wow, what a difference. I can guide the boat with one finger. For some reason, I also got about another 1/4 turn in both directions. I'll take a video of it. I'm soooo glad I did this one. FYI: Before installing, I hung the tail end up and sprayed lube into it over the course of about 2 days. Just used the straw and sprayed it whenever I went in and out of the garage. Also, the rubber fittings that go over the flex joint and the cable are not included in the cable part number, so I ordered new ones.

I got some 1.5" hose and ran the main deck drain (which emptied out on top of the gas tank) to the back of the boat. Nothing special. Just a few tie wraps along the way to hold it in place. Ran it between the battery and the engine.

I took the leftover and ran the rest in the ski locker so that the drain there ran directly to the bottom of the locker.

The anchor light is on the back of the bimini top. I did not replace the entire fixtures on the bow lights. Just purchased and installed these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BNTZGQ0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Direct fit replacement.

I ordered this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/291816398889?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

And installed it like this. Screws on the bottom. Scuffed, cleaned w/ alcohol, then gorilla two-sided tape for the lid attachment.

Thanks for the reply, I am looking into changing my steering cable sometime soon. I too have tried lubricating the cable with no luck.

Anchor light-- duh??? not sure what I was thinking. I will confirm my bulbs and get them as well.

I really like the spring on the glove box, inexpensive and nice addition. I think I am going to give that a try as well.

Thanks Again!!!

I got the idea for the spring off of another forum (not even sure it was a seadoo). I had wanting to do something, because it's irritating to have to hold that lid open while accessing the box. Then, I was imagining having to hold that lid up while I was installing the bluetooth accessory and that caused me to figure it out.

BTW: The dome on my anchor light had faded from UV damage, so I replaced the stock one with this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0009TS7PC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Screws right on in place of the original.

I am going to have to check that out on my boat... that seems much easier to turn than mine as well. Thanks for the video!!!
