Guys,

I need to remove my fuel baffle on a 98 speedster. But how do you reach it? Its up under the rear seats on top of the tank.

I can only hang upside down for so long...

What is the secret to the positions you need to be in to work on these boats?

If you don't want to hang upside down, you need to take the hatch off.
I just climbed in and sat on one of the engines and bent over. It should only take 5 minutes to mark the hoses, snip the clamps and slide out the fuel baffle.

Just out of curiosity, why do you need to pull it out? Is the gauge not working?

Sitting on the engines is probably what I am going to do. That's what I thought of too.

I am removing it because the fuel gauge doesn't work. However, the low fuel alarm does still work. I think maybe the float is stuck the bottom. It knows when tank is empty but not full?

Before you pull it, verify the guage is working correctly. It is just a simple matter of jumping two wires (pink I believe) and putting the key on. It should show full if it is working.
