Getting Ready For The Season

Well that was a long title
Thought I would bundle my thread in one.

Taking boat to Sanibel first week of June and wanted to have boat looking nice.

I started by removing the horrible faded decals on the boat.
I have burnt the end of my fingers and have burns from touching tip of gun but well worth it in the end.
Left only the big seadoo ones on the side. Haven't decided to pull that one off yet.

I did a small area of wet sanding to the swim platform and the dirt in the no-slip and wow what a difference in the gel coat. Only thing no-slip is smoothed down now.
So what to do??

Got on online and found site offering hydro turf for $340
I then looked up a promo code and got another 5% for a grand total $338 shipped
Got the molded diamond in black. Takes about 3 weeks to get here.

So tomorrow I continue with the wet sanding to get it ready for polish.
May not care to much about cleaning floors now b/c HT will be covering it all up...

Next items on list before June:
1. Rewire and replace trailer lights
2. Repair trailer bunk before 3 hr drive to West Coast.
3. Get battery fully charged.

I would like to replace the switches for the horn/bilge/lights/.....
Can I use any type of rocker switch? are they universal in the plugs?

I hate to order them and have to return or I could go to boat outlet with my old ones but internet is so much easier ;)

Will upload pictures next week when I get it out for polishing. Until then happing moding
