Manty hx rider

New Member
I have read about different ways to get on a seadoo hx. most say to do it from the back others say the side. but i was wondering if someone could put it into a step by step procedure, everything i find online starts out specific and then its like they write it while riding cause the further into the description the more foggy the explanation gets. Its my first owned ski, but i have ridden other pwc's but they were all new ones so dont really compare to what i have, bought i really want to learn cause everything i see online makes me itch to get it right.

and if it matters i am not exactly small, 6' 1 and 210 pounds

what are we talking about getting on from falling off it when your out in the middle of the water or getting on it from like a dock when you first are launching it?? when i fall off i get on from the back i hold on to the grab bar that i have on the back of the seat and do like a 1 2 3 up thing where then ill grab the steering wheel and then just pull the rest of me up and im done.. but from a dock i just do it from the side making sure i lean to the other since most of the weight will be on the one side your getting on just for a second.. then i sit down. just keep your balance thats all you mainly have to do..

couldn't resist...

Doggy-style....

Walked into that one, stud.

so do u start the thing before u get on or do u start after you are situated? i know this sounds dumb but even my friends who have riding different ski's are having issues and i appreciate the advice we got some nice weather coming up. so im excited to get out there and rip it up...

From the side, grab the handlebars and turn them away from you. Start it & then give it full throttle. As it turns and accelerates, the rear of the HX will move under you and you will end up laying on the seat. Then just pull yourself up to the seated position. Don't let off the throttle until you're on top. It's a little tricky at first but once you get the hang of it, it will be second nature.
