Gel Cote.com or Marine tex

While I was waxing my boat last week I noticed a scratch about a foot long. The Gel coat is gone and it left ragged edges. it's about 1/4 - 3/8 inch wide. I don't know how it happened, I don't beach the boat, ever!. Maybe a screw on the new bunks (but that was in 2010)
It's in a hard to get to spot, between the bunk of the trailer and a "ridge" of the boat. I'm thinking of just jacking up the front of the boat while on the trailer.

So which is best.....gel-cote.com repair or Marine tex. I've search the forum but "gel coat repair" had several hundred hits in different threads.

any other tips?

i buy it form gel cote just because its where brp gets it and i know it matches 100%. But if it was for the bottom where nobody sees it, i would buy one of the universal gel cote repair kits. Gel cote kits are like $60 after shipping. The universal kits are like 30-35.
