Gauges light up but no beeps and jet ski doesn't start

hey guys. i have a problem that's starting to worry me. i just recently bought a 1997 gsx and replaced the battery but hooked it up backwards (i know it was stupid). so i've checked all fuses and replaced the rectifier, which was fried, but the ski still doesn't start. gauges come on but i don't hear any beeps. any suggestions from here? thanks
