Can someone tell me if I need a gasket here?

well, the general line of thinking would be yes however seadoo doesn't sell a gasket for the top of the carbs. if you are really anal, you can buy the lower carb gasket and enlarge the center hole.

personally, i just gave up and do without which is what i suppose most people do. your air boxes should seal pretty tightly to that surface anyway.

No, there is no gasket for the top of the carbs. I use the Permatex 515/518 sealant just like the factory did.
