my gas vent on the port side of my boat seems to be broken. How do they work? will they let in water on a sharp righthand turn?

No lee, it has a one way valve in it so it only allows air to vent out of it, and nothing to flow backin.

Thanks Karl,Where is the valve? If it's outside the hull then it's broke.

Lee, Here is the part Number # 275500206.Price $17.50 USD. It is on the Starboard(right side) of the boat.

Karl,my bilge pump discharges out the right side(starboard, drivers side)My fuel tank vent exits the tank on the right side, loops over the pylon bracket and over to left side, attaches to a black fitting thats broken on the outside exposing half a male thread that measures 14tpi.

I went to the seadoo website and it showed it on the right side of the boat...It had the correct part number...so I assumed it was on the right side.

Mines on the left Karl,My question is : Is the black(broken) peice the check valve?I see nothing inline on the rubber hose to the fuel tank.

Yes, it is the last item on the hose...on the outside of the boat. I must of gotten mixed looking at the picture on the seadoosite. You can check it out too if you want " www.seadoo.com "
