ok so i have a 1996 GTX and in December i replaced all the gas lines (with auto gas lines) and pulled out the gas tank and cleaned it out, also i went through the carbs and soaked them and cleaned them out. After all that i put it in the water and it ran great. But when i took it out the next 2 times it ran worse each time. When i open the fuel bowl to look at the filter it is clean but the fuel has turned orange??? I know there is good gas in there and i even drained it today and put new gas in it but it still turns orange after it has ran for a few minutes, im assuming this is why it is dying out when i gun it and running so crappy (it got to the point where it wouldnt start at all when i was in the water). Does anyone know whats going on. I just put some Sta-bil and Iso-heet in it but that doesnt seem to help, the gas is still turning orange (and not the red that sta-bil turns it)???

Weird....

That's weird. With all the work you've done (and I remember you coming in with the past problems) you'd think it was fine. It seems almost like you have something in there that's dying it red. There shouldn't be anything in the carb doing this, or the lines........

I'm not sure what to tell you........but even when gas goes bad, it doesn't really turn red.....

i know, its weird, what could be causing it to die at full throttle and then get progressively worse?
