OK, so i have 2 97 GSIs. But this is only regarding one.

I had the one with problems turning over great, but wasn't getting any fuel into the carbs. Checked all the filters and they flowed great but weren't getting any gas pumped into them when I turned it over.

BUT!!!! Then i dumped some carb fluid into one of the pistons, and tried to start it up. Next thing I knew there was a loud pop and water started pouring into the pistons. I turned it off, pulled out the water hose, let it cool off then pulled the other spark plug. Ran the key and turned it over until all the water stopped shooting out.

Do you think I blew a Gasket or could this be something else? What should I do to check the fuel pump?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!! I love this site!!!

BTW my other jet ski runs pretty well, but it's starting to blow out darker smoke and bogs down when I run it at full throttle, any ideas?

you need to fire up the ski BEFORE turning the water on, then, turn water off, burp the throttle for 1/2 a minute, then turn motor off.

Remove the plugs, get all water out of cylinders, install plugs, then get it fired up.
