I have been running premium 93. I just read that the sea-doo 4 tec S/C is recommended octane is 87. Is that true no reason to waste money if the compression is low it will give 0 performance advantage...

Recommended minimum is 87
. SCIC engines have knock sensors and retard timing when they detect spark knock to protect the engine. Pemium fuel allows maximum performance because it allows maximum timing. I believe it even says that on a decal near the fuel fill on my Speedster.

The NA engines use 87. No benefit from higher octane unless you have a supercharger. Some would argue lower performance w/ higher octane on NA engines.

The higher the octane the more stable the fuel is AKA fuel is harder to ignite

The only place you would not lose performance on a 215 or 255 when running 87 octane would be at 3000ft plus elevation.
