Fuel Level Sensor

Can anyone tell me where the fuel level sensor is on a 2004 Sportster LE DI?

It should be a float system inside the tank itself. There is a plastic tube that everything is inside of...

I was able to find the float and sensor in the tank, turns out it’s not getting power for some reason. It does have continuity just no voltage. When I traced the wires, they go all the way back to the gauge so I’m not understanding where/ how it should be getting power. Any ideas or maybe I’m missing something.
