Fuel gauge

Hi. I have a 2008 sea doo 230 challenger se. I filled up the fuel tank when I was trailering it back. Since then I have taken the boat out about 4 times....didn't have her running any longer than 20 min. Longest run was 20 min and the other three runs were about 5 min. Should the fuel gauge be going down at all? I ask because it still says full...

My gauge (2006 Challenger 180 CS) has always showed full as well and I'm trying to get it fixed. Looks like it's the gauge because I disconnected the sender and it still shows full.

I can't figure out how to get it apart. There are two bolts coming out of the back with nuts, but the nuts only keep the bolts sticking out. The unit seems sealed. Has anyone gotten one of these apart?

I'm having the same problem w/ my '07 Speedster (digital, "bar graph" gauge so no needle to get 'stuck'). I noticed the problem for the first time after over-filling @ the gas station and, after reading the few posts from the 2stroke section, am thinking the float may be stuck @ the 'full' position. Planning to pull the unit & check in the next couple of days & hopefully will have good news to report...

One wrinkle in this is that the other day, the gauge went down a couple squares (to ~ 85% full), but I still had to put nearly a full-tank's worth of gas in.

In case I don't get to this right away, does anyone have any thoughts as to what other causes there may be?
