Having a problem with my 98 GTX Ltd regarding the fuel gauge reading. I was out on the lake yesterday and the guage droped from 4 bars to 2 bars in about 2 minutes - There are no leaks in the fuel system as the gas in the tank was exactly where I thought it would be i.e. 4 bars worth of fuel that I could visibly see in the tank.
I have read a lot of the posts regarding the fuel baffle, but this indicates that there would be a reading of 0 bars if faulty. Is my assumption wrong here?
I ran the ski for a while without any unexpected issues - just the fuel warning light coming on when there was still 2 bars worth in the tank.
Any ideas?
