Fuel gauge help

Hey everyone

I have a 96 speedster my fuel gauge was not working. Turned out it was the fuel baffle. I replaced the fuel baffle with a new one and now the fuel gauge works.

But my issue is I filled the tank up today to get her running for the season everything is running great expect the fuel gauge will not go past 3/4 of a tank. And I know the tank is full I can see it through the plastic of the tank.

Any thoughts of what might be wrong?

I did a repair on mine and got it to work but same thing. Highest it will go is 3/4. Is yours a new unit or a repaired ?

My fuel baffle is a fresh new OEM unit

I also replaced my baffle and it reads 3/4 when full.
Mine seams to be actuate when it gets near empty which is what really matters.

just seems weird to me. as long as it is accurate I guess that is ok
