Fuel for C180 - 91 or 87 octane?

The technical specs listed in the 2005 Service Manual for the C180 state that 91 octane is recommended and 87 octane is the minimum.

Any performance issues noted with 87 over 91?

most people on here will tell you to run 91. but ive ran 87 in mine since day 1 and had no issues to date.

Yes, you can run 87 octane, as long as it isn't showing a pre-ignition or knocking condition.

I run 87 because my car takes 91, and I can't see putting 91 in all my vehicles.......and i'm cheap.
