Fuel Float Question

In the process of getting a '97 SPX up and running. I have the fuel baffle out and was going to go ahead and replace the F1 fuse and the float while it is out (though it is working fine now) since failure is so common and I hate to do a job twice. I noticed the float has only one magnet and the replacement has two. When I replaced the float on my GTXL, the new float was the same. Does the replacement floats interchange with my current on in the SPX? I have attached a picture of the original float. Maybe this float is not a common failure?

Magnets...?

I believe your proper configuration for that year is a float with double magnets. But, if you said that float you attached the picture of was the float in it, then I would assume that they may both work.

I just picked up the ski and I'm in the process of trying to get it going. Was going to make the fuel system 100% while the tank was out. The baffle works fine, but I was goin to do a little preventative mantenance so I would not have re-pull the tank when the float sunk or the baffle fuse decided to die. This float in question was in it when I took it apart.
