I have a 1999 SeaDoo GTX LTD. When I change the pump oil, water comes out of the cone. I believe this means that I need to change the front oil seal.

Does anyone have the directions as to how this is done and if the job requires any special tools?

Thank you..............Tony

This may sound silly, but it depends on how much oil. The cone on that pump has a hollow outer core. If you look at you will see a solid inner section where the pump cone o-ring seal goes over and a hollow ribbed outter section. What you are seeing is the small amount of water that will collect in the outer section spill when you remove the cone. You can tell if the water has entered the sealed area if the oil removes is white'ish or milky. If not, don't worry, it's not in the pump.
